mom doesn't like chewing gum. it grosses her out...

raya has her fist clenched tight

raya sunshine: i got some salad in my hand mom, can i eat it?

mommy: let's see it first.

raya opens her hand and there is a piece of gum in it.

raya sunshines: see mom, salad. gooooooood for me!

falling in love

mom is sitting cross legged on the floor. raya throws her arms around mom's neck and pushes her to the ground and plants a kiss on her.

raya sunshine: mommy, we were just falling in love!

mom is scolding raya, and this rubs raya's fur the wrong way...

raya: WAIT! i not a princess! i a freakin' fire breathin' dragon!

mom: oh, wow, really?

raya sunshine: RAWR!

apparently raya sunshine now has an imaginary friend....

he is a goblin...she met him under a bridge...he now lives in her room...he is green.

his name is shoo shoo, and he fits in the palm of her hand.

the pancake story...by popular demand

mom and raya are making pancakes.  mom looks over at raya

mom: wanna help me flip?

raya falls on her tummy with her arms and legs spread out.

raya sunshine: (whispering) SHHHHHHHH! i am a pancake.

and the word of the day is....

raya is playing and jumps up and falls on her head..

raya sunshine: oh man, i schwunked!

whiners

mom and dad are arguing and raya is reading a book when she stands up and puts her arms in the air...

raya sunshine: HEY! QUIT WHINING!

think she likes fairy tales?

mom and raya painted raya's fingernails.

raya sunshine: i'm a pretty princess!

mom: yes, but you'd be a pretty princess even if you're nails weren't painted!

raya sunshine: please may i live in a tower?

if i say it, then she may believe it!

as i'm coming into the kitchen i hear rustling coming from the snack cupboard.

mom: where are you raya?

i find her with a handful of chocolate chips

raya sunshine: i'm not right here!

i am a pancake

thanks to endless inspiration from a sweet little one, and constant nagging from a beloved sister in law, here it is...the one stop shop for all things raya.  the funny, the cute, and the somtimes exaggerated for dramatic effect.  just kidding.  

the story that started it all...

raya sunshine : "i'm gonna huff an a puff an a blow your house down!" (breathes deeply in and out).

"mommmmm, you need to fall over!"

mom:      "Oh, sorry" (falls over)

raya sunshine:  (standing over mom pointing finger) "i'm coming back for you later, PIIIIIIIG!"
